Bush Senior tid bit of wisdom
"If you're a rich man from Texas, you can buy a nice oceanfront home in Maine ... live in it 364 days a year ... and avoid all property taxes as long as a PO box or hotel room in Texas remains as your legal address."

Thats the kind of cheating morality rampant throughout the bush mafia - any wonder shrimp is such an arrogant jerk?

1. Maybe avoid state income taxes, but I don't think property
tax assessment relates to the place of domicile of the resident. The taxes are collected on the property where the property is located.

One of my family members (who's pro bush) rents houses in KY and lives in IN, though he uses one of the KY addresses as his official residing address to save on property taxes...

3. I guess it would have been nice if...
...you posted a link to Bush Sr's quote. But, hell, I'd do the same thing too if I could.

4. A great bit of political theater
The night of the 1992 election, Texas Democrats rented the suite Bush claimed as his legal address and threw a victory party.

6. I guess he never heard the term "domicile"
The evasion proprosed is false because he isn't domiciled in Texas, he's domiciled in Maine. What is styled or alleged as tax avoidance is actually tax evasion. But when you get away with assassination attempts, looting the nations banking system, conducting illegal wars, trafficking in dope, and murdering the guy who built your fishing boat, what's a little tax evasion?
