1. kind of a loaded question, no?
Edited on Thu Mar-18-04 06:49 PM by ithacan
isn't it obvious?

Well, one reason is that there is no check on their power.

They control the House and Senate and are silencing any dissent within the Republican Party (not to mention outside of it). A small extremist group has managed to hijack the GOP, the entire US government, there's no check on their power

Plus, there's no other superpower that makes them think twice before doing stupid things abroad...

3. #3
Reagan and Poppy didn't have quite the unanymous media fellation that the Shrub gets, for one thing, so healthy skepticism is so much harder to come by

4. W for sure, but Reagan was the set up. W's administration
would be impossible without Reagan. It's the whole corrupt Iran-contra shadow government moved into higher positions of power. There's a special place in hell waiting for Reagan, as far as I'm concerned.

5. It's not even close
At least King George I and Raygun considered Perle and Wolfowitz to be "crazy" and kept them in the closet and didn't listen to them.

King George I and Raygan haven't done nearly the damage to SS and the economy as Dumbass is doing and continues to do.

6. This regime makes me nostalgic for ...
cough, cough ... Richard Nixon. All he did was cheat on an election; Shrub's stolen one.

7. Bush is (no hyperbole) the worst president in US history. Here's why.
The largest deficit increase in the history of the WORLD. EVER.

More morally bankrupt than Nixon (did I really say that?).

More crooked (and surrounded by crooks) than Warren G Harding (a worse speaker, too, and THAT'S hard to believe).

Has a view of "pre-emptive war" that would make Joesef Goebbels blush.

Shall I go on?

12. I agree
Worst. President. EVER.

There has never been a bigger liar in the White House. There has never been someone so reckless and so out of touch as this asshole.

8. It's Fairly Obvious
First, Reagan did not alienate so many allies. He seemed to understand that you need some friends. Reagan and Mitterand got along fairly well. Reagan did not belittle allies that did not see things his way. Reagan also admitted some of his mistakes. Bush doesn't seem to have a clue. He has turned almost every traditional ally we have against us and he is unwilling to admit he screwed up. Bush is easily more dangerous -- and stupid.

11. Reagan
I chose Reagan, not because of the damage done during his watch, which was considerable, but more because of the evil he let in the door of Government. Virtually everyone in the current Administration got their seat at the big table under Reagan. The SOB used the peacetime economy as if we were at war and did damage so great that it took all of 41s and the first 4 years of Clinton to begin to undo. That low-life chip in the office now might be bad but I see him as nothing but a willing figurehead, the real powers that are in the process of destroying the USA all came in during Reagan's reign.
