US downplays Polish criticism over Iraq WMD

WASHINGTON, March 18 (Xinhuanet) -- The United States downplayed on Thursday the significance of the remarks made by Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski that the world has been deceived by the United States on Iraq's alleged weapons of mass destruction(WMD), insisting that the US-Polish alliance remains strong.

Speaking to a group of visiting French journalists in Warsaw on Thursday, President Kwasniewski said: "They deceived us about the weapons of mass destruction, that's true. We were taken for a ride."

I recall they did. Maybe they're trying to leverage for a little more?
