WASHINGTON -- Attorney General John Ashcroft warned Sunday of the "very real potential" of new terrorist attacks against United States targets.


But he also said more than 100 al Qaeda activities around the world had been disrupted by the war on terrorism.


Ashcroft was speaking after a purported al Qaeda audio tape was broadcast on an Arab TV station threatening that "America will pay a very high price" for putting Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, detainees on trial.


"The potential for us to be hit again is a very real potential," Ashcroft said appearing on "Fox News Sunday."

Isn't that why we bombed the hell out of Afghanistan? Didn't we blame Osama Bin Laden, still scheduled to be smoked out dead or alive, or do we not think about him much anymore?

What was the purpose of bombing Afghanistan?

4. Al Quaeda threat is real, its imminent, and its scary as hell.

No doubt they are planning more attacks in the US. And I don't feel comfortable at all that this admin is doing everything it can to protect us. I don't feel safe.

The terrorists haven't decided to fold up and go away. They will hit us again when they can and there's no telling what it will be next.

It could be anything from blowing up a hospital to poisoning water in a day care.

There's no way the threat can ever be ended except by other Muslims in my opinion.
