Tweety's Talking Point Wish List for Campaign'04
Yesterday he was on the IMUS show, spinning himself silly about what a bad week JK had. The main hook was supposed to be JK’s “foreign leaders” remark. Tweety was feeble on this point. Nothing stuck to Jk------as BIDEN told him the other day, if you want the names of who’s against (Shrub), just count the ones who are FOR him---"the prime minister of Israel, the prime minister of Italy--and MAYBE the prime minister of Great Britain"--------everybody else is pretty much on the other list, haha.

The more he said it was a bad week for JK, the more he was drawn back to Shrub’s BAD WEEK, month, couple of months.

Then on his own circus last night he badgered GREAT DEM DEAN about whether DEAN would turn over his whole list of supporters to JK. DEAN was classy, answered the same effing question 3 or more times, saying “No.” Tweety kept at it, “What if KERRY has a long talk with you and ASKS you for the list.” Same answer. And DEAN did a bang-up job of (defending?)/supporting KERRY, would not mouth off the way Tweety wanted him to about who should replace McAULIFFE, among other questions. DEAN was a total, STAND UP DEM.

Then Tweety said, “You’re so WEAK.”

So here was the kicker of Tweety’s week. He asked either DEAN or another Dem something about how the campaign should shape up. When the guest said something about the question was inappropriate, Tweety said, “Well, I’ll tell you what *I* want. I want a campaign that’s NOT BORING. I want these guys to mix it up. This is what all of us in the media want. Otherwise, it will all just be about things that DON’T MATTER LIKE (Shrub’s) National Guard record, or some nonsense like that.”

These quotes are from memory, therefore not exact. Maybe there’s a transcript out there.

1. Mediawhores like Tweety
are (almost?) as much a threat to democracy as the b*sh/cheney/aSScroft criminals.

3. Tweety seems genuinely unsure....
..of where he stands, what he wants or how he is supposed to handle real news and information, like Hans Blix and David Kay on his show on Monday. They were the real deal, both saying that we went into Iraq under false pretenses. But, Matthews seems more comfortable just firing speculative questions at pundits or focusing on whatever trivial bit of conflict he can find or create.

I only saw a few moments of the show last night, when CM was questioning Dean about the list. Dean did a great job of staying firm on his position (and was mighty patient about it, too). I can't believe Tweety ended up calling him "weak." Maybe he's getting desperate, wondering how he is going to fill up the next eight months of his program.

4. Oh, He'll Fill Up the 8 Months All Right, No Prob
He's a regular crap-machine. What he was doing yesterday was to take Shrub off the hook for all of those "minor" lapses, while deflecting attention away from what they all add up to. Has anybody heard him mention Enron AT ALL, any time? When the Enron story broke in 11-01, then broke hard in 01-02, Tweety spent the next 3 months hyping what a crisis the Middle East was. Not a single show about Enron. To date, zip. What about now, what's different about the Middle East and what has Shrub done about it----nothing but that photo op with midget "presidents/prime ministers" standing at podiums, who were chosen on the qualification of being SHORTER than Shrub. Tweety Tweety Tweety Tweety.

5. Good point...
about Enron. There is so much information that reflects badly on Bush and his administration, that Matthews completely ignores.

6. I Don't Need a Million to Be Real
Tweety was raised by hard-scrabbled-Repuke Irish Cath parents. He Struggled. Us Dems lifted him up. Then his mentor G.E.RUSSERT told him to play it down the line. Fine. But what he did to GORE was unconscionable. If he thinks he's going to do it to another Dem candidate, he's sadly mistaken.

7. Prolly the "million" Reference Slipped Right By
Tweety is (has been) a millionaire for many years now. This is relevant towards something. Like when he went back to the "old neighborhood". Gawd, I hate him so.
