4. Somebody posted that Obey
had actually taken a swing at one of Delay's aides....I asked for an explanation or a link or something but nothing came up....I googled and found nothing (I'll admit I'm a novice googleer)

6. Finally found a link on that
http://www.c-span.org/questions/weekly39.asp

Happened in April, 1997. Described as more of a 'shoving match' than a 'fight', but I saw the video at the time, and it looked like quite a bit more than that (although it was brief, someone appeared to end up on the ground...and it wasn't Obey!).

11. see my post below
maybe I shouldn't of asked him and other Democrats to do all they could to get rid of Delay? I'm sure he is already!

I didn't know
<snip>As for examples, the most recent episode occurred on April 9, 1997, when a dispute arose between Rep. David Obey (D-WI) and Rep. Tom Delay (R-TX) over references to a newspaper article critical of Rep. Delay. This led to some name-calling and shoving between them in the main aisle of the House floor. A staff member intervened quickly to separate the two. </snip>
So in other words the staff member saved Delay from getting his a$$ handed to him. Bwaaah! haa! ha!

I now like Rep. Obey even more after reading that :) thanks for posting it! Go Obey! that's what you do to a bully. You stand up to them!

2. Petri
Ask him why the WI 6th has Tom Petri (R) running unopposed AGAIN. I talked to my state assemblyman (Ziegelbauer) about running and he basically said that the district was redrawn heavily Repug and you'd need 1 million just to run.

The 6th (especially Manitowoc) has lost a TON of jobs. Why wouldn't Petri be vulnerable? I would think that voters would pick anyone with a (D) next to their name on the ballot if they just had an alternative.

8. Petri's pretty moderate - voted against $87 billion war bill
The rep we really need to get rid of is Mark Green. He's a real fascist.

9. Tell him Thank You!
and that he's one of the one's that I actually think cares about the people and our democracy!

Does he think it's ever possible for our country to do the right thing and have Universal Health Care for the people? Did he read this article? My advice is to debate health care for all as good for business & entrepreneurs.

A Heftier Dose To Swallow
Rising Cost of Health Care in U.S. Gives Other Developed Countries an Edge in Keeping Jobs

The economy, is really as bad as we think isn't it? If Bush* gets another four years are we going the way of Argentina? Give it to me straight, I can take it.

Tell him I want each and every Democrat to do everything they can to rid the house of DeLay!

Why do Republicans hate democracy and why would the people of this country elect people that hate and want to destroy the government? That's something that Democrats need to ask and point out to the people.

13. What I wanna know...
...is why Obey said "Why should we care? It's only the Constitution" in response to passage of the USA PATRIOT Act.

I sure hope he was friggin' joking, because I'm not amused.

14. Boston Convention
I heard the guy who handled the protest in Miami has been hired to control the crowds during the Democratic Convention in Boston. Ask him if this is true and if it is why hire such a thug?
Thanks.
