Need help Re: SH giving 25K to bombers...

I have two stories that suggest he did in fact pay the money to the Palestinians.....I know i've seen theem de-bunked somewhere...can someone help me with this...I am having a heated discussion about this on another board and I need to make sure I've got my facts right...

1. This usually refers to orgs who give school money to peoples' kids or

just regular old aid to widows and orphans. The western objection to this is that they do not make a distinction of whether the family breadwinner was shot while sitting on his front porch or in the commission of a criminal act.

Although in the US charitable organizations do not refuse aid to dependents of those convicted of or killed in the commission of crimes, the popular sentiment is that charities in countries with large Muslim populations should do so, thus leaving the dependents of criminals to starve.

Orgs who refuse to do so are declared to be terrorist groups.

2. No, this is specifically related to the suicide bombers that SH

publicly said he would support...

The right-wing use this as constant proof that SH was a terra-ist..

5. yeah, well he also said he was training a 5 million man army to liberate

Jerusalem, and then when the siege started and Arafat asked him for help he wrote back and said sorry, his hands were tied and he had problems of his own if you get the drift, and the 5 million man army never materialized either to liberate Jerusalem or defend Baghdad.

Saddam was Amrika's boy till he pissed off Pappy bush when he wanted a bigger slice of Kuwait, and then they played him for another 12 yrs till they could get their DC Dream Team suited up, and now he's just another discard. I doubt he is any longer capable of much speech, if coherent thought, since they have granted him POW status, and if lucid could divulge information that could prove embarrassing to Amrika and its "allies."

6. What does a suicide bomber need with money?

Saddam paid some families of suicide bombers some money because they lost their bread winner and he had compassion. He did not give any money to actual bombers as they had no need.

and as damning of the public's intelligence as the nailbiting over whether Al Zawahiri will show up at the appointed place and time for his capture as announced by Washington a month ago, not to mention all the Iraqi child hijackers who miraculously survived the blast and returned to their home country where they are currently being punished to avenge the death of 3000 innocent Americans, since twenty thousand Afghan tribal people who never heard of New York seemed such an inadequate vengeance.

3. I second that belief that it was money paid to the families

of the dead Palestinian suicide bombers, as you suggested. Don't know of links, but I've heard it as well.

4. It's pretty much a fact, from the evidence I've seen. However, if he

had WMDs, and he was williing to see them used against us and our allies, then how come there is not a single case of Hamas using WMDs?

Who had a family member killed by the Israelis, whether they were suicide bombers or innocent children, he didn't differentiate. The media cherry picked that into screaming headlines that he gave $25K to the families of suicide bombers.
