If Gore was president, 9/11 would not have happened. Gore would not have demoted Clarke from a cabinet position. Gore would have listened to Clarke's demand for a cabinet level meeting on the AQ chatter, and just like Clarke said, the FBI, Justice, CIA, etc. would have had to report on what they were doing to prevent an attack.

With a President Gore at the helm, there would have been no 9/11, no illegal war in Iraq, and the economy would have been booming.

16. I am doing my best

I work with mostly younger people, most of them have never voted. One person I am working on has never registered, she is really interested in hearing about what is going on and I am trying like crazy to recruit her. The young vote could be the difference this year and we need to focus our attention on them. Some of them have not yet been corrupted and are willing to listen unlike older people who already have enough knowledge (or lack of, depending),about who they want to vote for.

someone else, which was a blueprint for dealing with terrorism. They gave the report to the Bush admin, one of the suggestions was setting up a new department exactly like the Off of Homeland Security.

Bush threw the report out and said Dick Cheney was going to be in charge of terrorism and put together a new report.

But Dick was busy with his energy meetings. Actually, that's probably where he was working on the report, maps of Iraqi oil fields included.

13. Yep, Hart and Rudman chaired a bipartisan commission that worked

two and a half years on the study. Their report said that a catastrophic attack on American soil was inevitable, and we were very poorly prepared for it. I believe bush* was given the report in April 2001. He basically said, thanks but no thanks, I'll have Dick do his own study when he gets some time. He's busy right now figuring out how to loot the Treasury for our energy buddies.
