Must See Movie: The Corporation

I don't know if it's playing in the States yet, but I just saw it in Edmonton this afternoon. It is fantastic! A truly superb expose of the corporate psychology - which can easily be compared to psychosis.

Anyway, I'm not going to be a spoiler. It is well worth seeing, and the ending is fine.

This is one documentary that will take some awards.

'Nuff said. Go see it.

2. I saw it

One of my favorite bit was when they took Monsanto apart for blatantly lying to the public and hiding their research which showed the healh hazrds of their BGH product, which they continue to flog to the US dairy farmers anyway.

Another interesting bit was when a Canadian gov't research scientist complained about how they were put under pressure to aprove new drugs etc. without proper testing or to ignore damaging test results.

This is one of the best films I have seen in a long time. To let Calgary DUers know, it's playing at the Uptown(where I saw it) and at corporate owned Silvercity. At the end, I stood up and yelled to see if there were any other DUers there... nobody responded. :(

6. Our annual film festival starts next month...

...here in Philadelphia. I saw the program with all the movies that will be playing and "The Corporation" was the first thing that really grabbed my eye. It will be playing here on April.10. I intend to see it.
