I cannot wait to hear what Hannity and Coulter have to say!
I can only imagine how Hannity and Coulter are going to put this in the lap of Bill Clinton. Even though, Richard Clarke worked for the Reagan, Bush I, Clinton, and Bush II, the only person they will find fault with is Clinton. Not to mention, Bill Clinton was the only one of the presidents who held daily meetings, forcing all branches to stay on their toes about the terrorist. But yet, those two guys, Hannity and Coulter, will find Clinton solely liable.

1. Clinton also requested
millions in funding for counterterrorism efforts, especially after he became aware of the threat posed by Bin Laden way back in '97. Not only do the media whores fail to report that, they also fail to mention the little fact that the repuke-controlled congress denied the funding every time it came up.

Maybe it's because they were allocating all of the available millions of bucks to investigating Clinton's private zipper activities instead. Hey, at least they had their priorities straight!

2. Does it matter
They function on making things up not taking the facts and drawing reasonable conclusions.

3. Unfortunately, I'm afraid
it DOES matter because too many people don't know the real truth about both of them and their rest of their ilk, and tend to listen to and believe what they have to say. It's up to us to keep them on their toes, and educate people as to their true nature, and the truth.

6. Rove will provide the talking points to Hannity, Coulter, Limbaugh, etc.
They are the orcs. Rove is Saruman, who will pull their strings. They are getting the talking points they are expected to parrot tonight - not tomorrow, tonight.

8. Clinton and Clarke prevented the Al-Qaeda attack on LAX
Not much Coulter and Hannity and crew can do to spin that away.

The way Clarke explained it, it was very straightforward. There was chatter in late 1999, so Clinton put everyone on "high alert", they "went to the battlestations", and there were daily meetings with the heads of the CIA, FBI and Clarke reporting to Clinton.

The intelligence heads told their people to "shake all the trees." Instructions to the people in the field were "report if even a sparrow falls out of a tree".

So they ratcheted up the attention level, and when that Al-Qaeda operative tried to sneak explosives in through Canada to blow up LAX, they caught him.

Shows you, it ain't rocket science. You just have to keep your eye on the ball - instead of dropping it the way Bush/Condi/Ashcroft/Wolfowitz/Hadley did.

9. Predictable to the point of being nauseating.
:puke:

We know what Hannity is going to say. It's all Clinton's fault. Clinton had the chance to get Osama six times from the Sudan. Hey, we could have a contest to see how long it takes for him to mention this, and how many times he mentions it in the monologue. Wouldn't that be fun???

10. Clinton is the only one who didn't have a bin Laden as a business partner
or a CIA puppet, and for that, he MUST take all the blame!!

11. really? once cognitive dissonance has set in for loyal followers...
it's pretty easy for them to fling anything out there and have the "believers" continue to believe. To admit fault at any point would destroy the carefully crafted structure supporting mutually exclusive ideas.

now they will hear a former Bush official yet again castigate the man as barely a man and a horrible defender of our country and they will plug in whatever plausible lie about the messenger they can and the dutiful media will move on after a few days of spotlighting this bump in the campaign road.

they are more excited about the horse race wherein hundreds of millions in political ads are laid at their doorstep.
