I am beginning to suspect that all the revelations about "*"...
is no accident. All of a sudden there is a lot of "Protocol" being broken by those who would typically stay silent. Whether people like Clarke or former President Carter. Even some prominent republicans are making strange statements (for re pugs) for example Mc Cain and another re pug saying Kerry is strong on defense. I don't doubt it. It's just the messengers that are surprising me.
The explanation that comes to mind is that quite a few people in the know really believe that our nation will be in grave danger if shrub gets another term.
They can no longer remain silent.

2. It's no longer about politics
And hasn't been since 9/11. It's about the security of this nation, something that the BFEE obviously cares nothing about.

5. Bu$h and the PNAC are so full on dishonest, crazy, and dangerous
that they are even scaring some republicans. Ever heard the story of Rommel and Hitler?

6. Cream rises to the top....
Clarke, O'Neill and Rand Beers strike me as old time patriots. The kind of patriot who puts country before a mere mortal president.

7. Actually Hadley was a perfect example of............
of what kind of hands our nation is in. They are ideologues, nothing more. bush is nothing but an ignorant bully but he is the cheney/rumsfeld bully. They obviously run the show and they surround themselves with ideologues or people too stupid to think for themselves.
Their agenda is going to be a disaster for all of us.

8. I've been hearing Pat Buchanan on the radio for the last week
He even got into it with Hannity on Friday. He can't stand the Neo-Cons.

Sometime in the last decade I fell into the rabbit hole and Pat Buchanan became my favorite conservative. I'm not proud.

9. I know what you mean
The world truly is spinning off its axis when you find yourself agreeing the Buchanan on certain issues. Isn't that a sign the end is near?

13. It begs the question
Did he change or did I change. I remember his 'Culture War' speech in '92. I remember the jokes about his policy proposals being better in 'the original German'. When did he start to sound so damn reasonable??

The enemy of my enemy?

15. I was hoping he'd run as a spoiler this year
I wouldn't be surprised if he ran on the Republican ticket in the primaries, that he'd do pretty well.

10. Consider the numbers and kinds of people. CIA, government officials of
many kinds, diplomats, terrorism experts, etc.

Consider also that they know how important this election
is, perhaps because of their knowledge more, that would
explain the unprecedented steps some of them are taking,
like the ex-CIA guys ganging together and holding congressional
hearings.

Stupendous.

11. bush outed a cia agent
that was deep cover and probably got people killed and a network destroyed.hung the fbi out to dry on the failures. pissed off the professionals in the pentagon for appointing rummy who they hate and hold him responsible for screwing up the future of the armies and setting back weapon development. these are the people who talk to hagel and mc cain. remember fritz hasn`t said anything about what`s happening in his investigation...

16. Perhaps corporate powers that be
Realize stock values are better under Democratic administrations and that the smash and grab attitude of the current neocons in power isn't going to work for the long haul for most businesses.

I doubt there's any other purpose beyond that of financial. There seems to never be.
