holding a sign with the words "Get a brain, morans!" that floats around DU a lot. He was a freeper counter protesting an anti Iraq war protest. I've lurked at FR before, and I think it was an inside joke at Rep Jim Moran, whom they hate with a passion. Moran has said many wierd things in the past, and also came out against the Iraq war, so they have been trying to link us to him. Most DUers think that the hick just couldn't spell, but I think he was just trying to be clever, (and looking stupid in the process).

I thought I remembered him as being a Dem who pis*ed me off by acting like a Republican.

I am not in his district, I think he is in Arlington. He rolled over when they wanted to rename a metro stop, "Ronald Wilson Reagan Washington National Airport." I can't remember who, someone from Georgia who holds some purse strings for DC was pushing it. Arlington is NOT in DC. He shouldn't have any authority over anything in Virginia. Moran wouldn't stand up for his constituents. He caved.

I thought it would be a good idea to honor our more recent President by renaming the airport in Atlanta the William Jefferson Clinton Atlanta Hub Airport. Maybe a better name might be the Bill and Hillary Clinton Atlanta Hub Airport.

I'm still pis*ed about renaming the airport after Reagan, after he fired the Air Traffic Controllers! An airport is the last place that should be named after him. I anticipate another renaming frenzy when he dies.

He's got foot-in-mouth desease but he's not a DINO. Virginia Pro-Life gives him only a 6% "pro-life" record. The Right-0wing Americans for Tax Reform give him a 15%. He's usually in the center, pro-choice and pro fre trade.

I live in his district and hoped somebody would challenge him for his seat in the primary but in the end nobody did.
