What's The Fricking Deal With MWO ?

Does anyone know what is going on with mediawhoresonline.com ?

I just checked their site and now it has an image that says out to pasture. They
even removed all the news they had on the front page, the only thing left is the
links in the sidebar.

At a time when they are needed the most they shut down, WTF !

Surely someone here knows what is going on, does anyone have the answer.

time to the site without financial help.

3. I Saw That.......

I saw the notice about devoting time to the site. My question is why did they remove
the news that was on the front page, and if they can not afford to run the site, why
don't they sell it to someone else or give it to someone.

It don't make sense, why have a blank page there ?

I am sure there are plenty of people who would be willing to run the site if they don't
want to, or cant afford it. Hell I would run it if they give it to me.

I am starting to wonder if some republican bought the site and shut it down.

Something is going on that they are not telling us.

4. More answers for you in this thread:
I was wondering the same thing in this thread from a few days ago:

Does anyone know what happened to The Horse (MediaWhoresOnline)?

Have you checked out The Daily Howler? In the thread above, I was under the impression that they hadn't updated in a month, but intrepid DUers showed me my error. :-) The Howler is a site very similar to the old Horse, and I'm glad to know it's still around and updating often.

I miss The Horse, though. :-(

5. Money
Pure and simple. They simply do not have the money to maintain the site with any level of credibility. The fan base that seems to demand the world was not willing to fund the world. Thus they had to pull the plug.

6. Bingo.........

How come the wealthy democrats do not fund sites like this ?

No wonder the republicans kick our ass in the media, they fund conservative
websites, radio, tv, foundations, non-profits, etc. etc. etc. The democrats don't
fund shit, we should have foundations that give grants to websites like MWO etc.

We have millionaire and billionaire democrats who just sit on their money instead of
donating it to worthy causes etc.

I just don't get it.
