A couple of people from here called her on her last day in Florida to wish her well. She said of DU, "Those people are great," or something like that.

It will be streaming. Randi said it was and not just her program. Being in the Denver area, I sure appreciate that. And Randi will still be broadcasting out of her old station down in Florida by special arrangements with that station and Air America. So, those folks can still listen on AM radio.

Hth!

go read on LBN.

But damn, today I sure miss Randi - glad she found an outlet today to vent, I could just imagine her chomping at the bit today. Personally I think the Air America ought to do their rehearsal shows on current topics and put the audio out there for us net denizens.

15. WSJ got it wrong though
said it was 7 minutes after getting the word from Card.

I've seen the unedited. much longer than 7 minutes.

MoveOn needs to get that video and present it in such a way that people can see how he did NOTHING.

frankly, it's insane that he even continued with the photo op after learning of the first hit/multiple hijackings....

But I think that video was edited. Maybe the journal article will make some news agency get it and show it with a stopwatch on screen.

26. It is the video of Bush at school reading to children on 9/11
It conflicts with the official WH account of how Bush was a man in command that day - he sat their for 20-25 minutes after the second tower got hit.

I have to admit I'd never heard or seen her before (heard OF her here of course), but she was awesome.

Hopefully CNN will bring her back for more. She was GREAT.

Williams could do nothing but shake his head and say "I just don't want to believe that any president would .... blah blah blah"

Yeah, believe all you want, Williams. The truth hurts, don't it?

is just the problem. Many, many folks are in that category. They just can't believe any president could be as low as b*. It is actually inconceivable that such a person could become president, so I can see where they're coming from.

28. well it is shocking when you realize

i lived in TX when Shrub was governor. He seemed like a innocuous somewhat harmless idiot son. I even met him at a party and thought the same thing.

When he lucked into the presidency (with a lot of help from his brother and others) I thought "well, whatever, hopefully he won't fuck up too badly in the next four years until we get rid of him"
And WOW. What a shocker it's been, no? Turns out he and the whole cabal are the worst bunch of crooks to ever get political power in the United States.

It's difficult to accept that the checks and balances in this country which supposedly prevent such things have broken down, but they HAVE. The media is largely to blame, they are an integral part of the success of our system, and they simply don't exist anymore in the way that they're supposed to.

If we had a free press, Bush and his cronies would be in jail already.

Because the truth would have sent them there.

32. interesting
RHODES: I'm sorry, Wolf. I get very emotional about this because the one thing I remember clearly about that day was that a plane had hit the World Trade Center. We didn't see it at 8:46 in the morning. But the president did walk into a second grade elementary school classroom in Sarasota, Florida.

I was in Florida that day broadcasting. And he had 15 minutes to decide what to do about a commercial aircraft crashing into the World Trade Center on a high floor. And in those 15 minutes, he decided the best use of his time would be to sit in a second grade classroom.

Then we saw the second plane crash, and that's when Andrew Card whispers in his ear. He continues to read to those children. He is not in charge. He's -- and America really needs to see that video again.

BLITZER: Armstrong? Hold on both of you. Armstrong, hold your fire for a moment. We're going to take a quick break. We'll continue this conversation.

We're also standing by to speak live with the foreign minister of Israel, Silvan Shalom. He'll be coming here to the studio. We'll speak to him about his meeting with Dick Cheney just a little while ago of what's happening in the Middle East right now.

Stay with us.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

BLITZER: We'll get back to our 'Hot Topics' debate later. But as we've been reporting, Hamas and other groups are promising revenge for today's assassination of the Hamas founder and spiritual leader, Sheikh Ahmed Yassin. Israeli helicopters fired missiles at the 67- year-old Yassin as he left a mosque in Gaza City at sunrise.

Randi starts talking about what the chimp really did on 9/11. Wolf then goes to commercial and says they'll continue the conversation. Of course they never do.

40. There was a Frontline on O'Neill two years ago
It discussed much of what Clarke is discussing now. It just wasn't as hyped. O'Neill, by the way, became for frustrated by the current admistration and how much they ignored his warnings, he quit and took a new job in August 2001- as head of security for the World Trade Center. And yes, he died on 9/11/01.
