looking for info on Taliban/Afgan post invasion
thesis is that the Taliban is still there,
women still get raped/murdered if they wear skirts,
local drug lords are still in charge.

please post any articles if you have any.

THANKS!

3. Best place I've found
is the Asia Times. New stories daily & if you want to explore past coverage of Afghanistan, have a root around the "War and Terror" section:

http://www.atimes.com/

Also, for some interesting material on the plight of womens' rights from RAWA - check out John Pilger's film from last year "Breaking the Silence" (which is more about the war on terror in general inc hilarious interviews with the neo-cons)

http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/pilger_breaking_the_silence_35mb.htm

& of course RAWA
http://rawa.fancymarketing.net/recent2.htm

Hope this helps. I haven't seen a single filmed report from there in months & those that did rarely dared to stray out of Kabul.

5. Please don't do that
Please try to confine the flame wars to the threads in which they occur. If you spread them to other threads on purpose, the whole place might burn down.

Thanks.
