another gay marriage thread

While waiting to pick up hubby and #2 son at the Albany airport last June I saw a beautiful family reunion. Two handsome 30 something white men walked off a plane carrying a black baby boy and requisite gear (diaper bag etc.). They were met by two grey haired ladies who were obviously the adoring grandmas. Tears, laughter and much hugging ensued. I was tempted to join their little group, but did not wish to intrude on their blissful moment. It was obvious that this was a gay adoptive couple with their new son. Total love and joy-and I remember thinking that baby was one lucky little guy. I have not stopped thinking of them since, and I wish that everyone would have a quiet epiphany to help them understand that love and commitment are good things for gay and lesbian people too. I just don't get why all the hubbub and fear. Sigh. Why does good change take so long?

That is what I can't understand,
Black folk who on think that Blacks can raise a baby. I'd rather the kid be raised by a good parent PERIOD. Not by a particular race.

Think about that crazy ass MO FO who killed his nine kids and grand kids.

What about the Hispanic Guy who took his kids across country and killed them in the Midwest and dumped their bodies and then killed himself. Would you rather he raise his and eventually kill his kids or have them in a home with a Gay or LEsbian couple.

Hell, I woudn't mind being the kid of a Gay couple right now.

What about the White folks on Jerry Springer? Would you rather they raise kids or should they find a good home GAY or STRAIGHT!

I only wish this was EVERY family, straight or gay. That's the problem, people can't see that it's not about orientation, it's about WANTING to be a parent... and wanting to be married. Not all the other BS!
