3. The WH sure pulled out the heavy artillery today
Condi was all over the place babbling. Cheney was on Rush. Even Dan Bartlett was out hemming and hawing.

This Clarke thing has them in a major tizzy. Yahoo!

4. It only proves that this really got under their skin.
How ironic that some of the worse and damning critisisms of the w* policies come from their own people. Restores my faith in the human conscience.

5. Actually
it was probably a really good thing that Kerry was on vacation.

He didn't have to insert himself into the fray and he could stand back and watch the bushies dig a deeper hole.......which, of course, they did.

6. Kerry needs to stop playing around
if Kerry wants to show how presidential he is, he needs to start acting like the next American President that is going to unite our country, that is going to bring America back on track where truth prevails and the press is free to print the truth without retaliation. Kerry needs to step up to the plate and be heard, this is his moment, when America and the world are just now discovering the ugly lies of this administration. Kerry needs to LEAD the initiative for a fully independent investigation like Watergate and point out that if Bu$h and Condi won't go under oath and corroborate to get to the truth, then by omission, they are guilty of these charges. It is time for the truth, we need leadership that will restore integrity and ethics in the White House.

So come down from the mountains Kerry and start demanding the truth. Start the impeachment process NOW. We do not need another hotheaded president, but we do need leadership we can count on.

Kerry is defining himself well right now...

He is looking Presidential and above-the-fray. He's letting Bush waste his money early and using a little rope-a-dope on them.

All eyes are on Bush's scandals and Kerry is just swooping in with the tsk tsk every now and then. It's working great and he's saving his money.

Besides, the election is months and months away. No need for Kerry to get a bloody nose right now. Just calmly provide the context for a Kerry Presidency which is the string of miserable Bush failures.

8. Yes, and there are others who can do the job for him....
Sen. Edward Kennedy, Howard Dean, Dennis Kucinich, Dick Clarke, Wes Clark, Michael Moore, and on and on.

Drip...drip....drip....

How do you like your toast, smirky?

10. Bush intentionally acts like a guy who can win while being lazy. He acts
like success is his entitlement for being a white man. Blue collar white men, apparently, find this appealing.

My feeling about this has been that we should run somebody who shows us that, if you have nothing but a willingness to work, the route to success is by working, and by being fairly rewarded for your labors.

Kerry isn't running that way. He's trying to out-leisure time Bush.

Does anyone think this is going to work?

This strategy makes me very nervous.

Obviously, Kerry can't run on the idea that work should be rewarded, because he's probably only EARNED a tiny fraction of the total wealth he enjoys. (It comes from inheritance and marriage, which is probably worse that Bush, who gets his almost entirely from priveleges delivered by his father.)
