Would Freepers still carry out their "Ultimate Freep" if Kerry wins

I've heard from a number of DUers that Freepers, about two years ago, began planning a covert takeover of DU, where they'd register, run up their post counts, and even donate to get a gold star, and then "un-mask" on Election Night if * wins (aka operation "Ultimate Freep"). But I'm wondering if they'd still do this if Kerry wins. Or would they be shitting themselves too much to do it, and put it off for another occasion...say the 2006 midterm elections...or 2008.

In truth about half that I'd and that includes at least three dozen freepers in disguise. The secret is to hang out in the lounge and act like a horny 15yr old until you get a couple hundred posts and a few friends. Then you can hit the regular forums and tweak here and there. Right now most of us are pumping up the little general.

If you can photoshop a few Bush insult pics you are a hit right away. You really have to bash Bush to get any street creds with this crew though. If they only knew how many of the old guard are not what we seem.

We are planning a 'coming out' party for election night '04. I can hardly wait until the masks are removed.

And yes DUmmies, i know you are reading this. I wish I could use one of your freaking silly :wave: emoticons.

Don't forget!! Midnight of election night, everyone is going to un-mask. I have a couple new IDs set up for furture use though. I signed on to one of those cheapie ISP's for a couple months and established a new account every week or so. Best dog gone 20 bucks I've spent in a long time.

You have to be careful and clear your cookie file before each attempt and it's not foolproof since their mods can read some sort of number that is unique to each computer but I work in a computer shop and there are always machines I can use for sign up.
I bet they will shut down registrations before the elections so if you are going to set up accounts, don't wait until the last minute!

19. I really wouldn't worry about it

If a few freepers and some of their friends - if they have any friends - decide to "unmask" on election night, we'll shut them off in about five seconds flat and that will spoil their three years of patient plotting. It should be quite a show, if it happens, which it probably won't.

I'm going to lock this thread now though, because we don't like to encourage people to hunt freepers. Leave it to the mods.

I will say this however - anyone who is currently posting on DU is welcome to post on DU. Anyone who is not welcome at DU will have their accounts shut off. Anyone who has spent three years pretending to be a liberal in order to go out in a five second blaze of glory on election night is a moron.
