question for the scumbags who blame terrorism on Clarke:
if he was so terrible under Clinton, and, by extension, Clinton was SO feckless in fighting AlQaeda (all those attacks under him), WHY on earth didn't he do the WTC when Clinton was president?

could it perhaps be because their other major attack was done under the aegis of the Bush transition, right after Clinton assumed office?

not to mention the Millenium attempt, which, us the Clinton administration foiled, making them realize that it might not be so easy to do nasty things to an admn that was up to speed.

will dems hafve the spine to take this approach?

they WAITED for an idiot to "take over"

1. 60 minutes showed how Bush did it right and foiled the millenium attack
of course nobody seems to have mentioned that today.

Fuckers.

I can't imagine the ulcer-inducing frustrating that must be felt by a guy like Clarke.

Well wait a minute, yes I can. Popping Tums right now ......

2. Thinking back to 2001, you'll recall that one of the first things the
administration said was that they were going to have more of a "hands off" policy when it came to resolving the Palestinian/Israeli conflict. Then when the FBI report came out of the USS Cole, the adminstration DID NOTHING. Hello? Was someone trying to get our attention on 9/11?

4. can the dems use these quotes just ONCE?
Edited on Mon Mar-22-04 11:30 PM by buycitgo
just ONE time?
"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him."
- G.W. Bush, 9/13/01

"I want justice...There's an old poster out West, as I recall, that said, 'Wanted: Dead or Alive,'"
- G.W. Bush, 9/17/01, UPI

contrasted with THESE

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
- G.W. Bush, 3/13/02

"I am truly not that concerned about him."
- G.W. Bush, repsonding to a question about bin Laden's whereabouts,
3/13/02 (The New American, 4/8/02)

doesn't stuff like this BEG to be put in pithy, short TV spots?

why isn't it being done, if not by Kerry, then by moveon/Soros, the labor unions, or some other designated 527 groups?

and WHEN is mrs. Ketchup going to start funding some ads, before the FEC makes it illegal?

huh?

7. Got any links for the above quotes?
preferably AP, UPI, or Reuters

Trust me, I live in freeperville and would love to use these quotes but the freepers will deny it unless I can prove * actually said it.

9. About the "I don't know where bin Laden is..." 3/13/02 quote
I was about to use this on another board, but decided to check it out myself first. My minimal research lead me to believe it's bogus, worthy of a Snopes entry. Apparently it's from a press conference that day:

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2002/03/20020313-8.html

"So I don't know where he is. You know, I just don't spend that much time on him, Kelly, to be honest with you. I'm more worried about making sure that our soldiers are well-supplied; that the strategy is clear; that the coalition is strong; that when we find enemy bunched up like we did in Shahikot Mountains, that the military has all the support it needs to go in and do the job, which they did."

One of three possibilities here.
a. He said the exact quote in question at some other time on 3/13/02. (not likely)
b. The White House site has changed the transcript (been know to happen before)
c. It's false.

Sorry, but I opt C. Doesn't matter, Bush* is still an evil incompetent idiot with or without the quote.

10. Well, if it had happened under Clinton ...

the press and Republicans would never have noticed it because they were too busy sniffing his pants.
