Why aren't the 9-11 hearings on live, network TV?

Weren't the Watergate Hearings live?
Weren't Iran-Contra hearings live?
This isn't freaking important enough to televise?

Of course, we all know why, don't we?

And if they did run the hearings, Americans might realize that the Bu$h gang is a bunch of criminals that have taken over this country.

2. Republican owned corporate media...(and it would insinuate a scandal).

Which it is and should be recognized as, they purposely ignored (the signs) for polictical gain, that we see all too clearly.

And the republican media will have none of that. It was as bad during Iran-Contra as it is now...but even then, they hid so much incriminating evidence about Reagan/Bush.

that it would be airing the hearing tomorrow. Anybody else hear that?

That just doesn't seem CNN's thing these days.

I remember watching the Watergate hearings. I was a 13-year old Canadian, but God, how I hated Nixon. (And I thought Mo Dean was hot! ;) )

9. I just checked and it appears that Colin Powell and

Madeleine Albright will testify tomorrow at 9am est. The entire panel may go on until about 12 or 12:30.

I went to C-span and signed up for program alerts. Just got an email from them. woohoo

they KNOW that they have betrayed the people of this country - and a few of them still have soul-like remnants haunting them in dreams.
They know that they had the ability to expose this venomous cabal - yet chose not to for increased $$$$

10. Because back then, cable was about "reception", not content

Too many people have cable, and too many people watch "niche" networks.. The networks "news" divisions back then could trump entertainment, and often did..

Bottom line..they would lose too many viewers/commercial$$$$$, so they would never do it now..

As for CNN coverage.. Don't hold your breath.. They will cut away for a car chase or an unruly juror in the Scott Peterson case...in a heartbeat..

They. and MSRNC are famous for cutting away just as it gets a bit "hot" on some white house flunkie...and saying "We'll keep an eye on this hearing for you, and if anything important happens, we'll let you know...now , in other news.. Kobe Bryant got a tattoo , and Martha Stewart got yet ANOTHER $10 thousand $$ purse...

Even the Clarence Thomas and Anita Hill hearings were on 24/7 on all networks, the radio, it was everywhere.

12. I guess the network think that people who dont have cable,

like me, would rather watch The Today Show or Regis and Kelly, or the Price is Right. So sad. Well I hope I can catch some of it on the radio while I paint.
