what would happen to Tom Hanks if he endorsed Kerry?
is there anyone more charming than he is?

he just said he drives an alternatively fueled car, whatever that is.....could be joke

BUT, if it's true, that means he's a dem, right? how could he not be?

if that's the case, would his career suffer if he came out into the light?

you KNOW he'd be widely vilified by the mouthbreathers, and they'd try to ruin his career.

doubt if he'd do it now, if he hasn't already

just a pipedream

he could win the presidency himself without even campaigning, is my guess

back to reality

Cool! Now, if he would only fork over some of that Best Actor scratch and start a truly "fair and balanced" news network...

2. Cool guy.
Often rode his bicycle to the studio - other days showed up in a Volkswagon bug. Don't know his politics - but sure like his values.

14. Figures.
I worked in the studios for some years -and actually did a movie with Tom - but I'm a little hesitant
to comment on people I've worked with, not only because I value their privacy - but it's often an exercise in futility to try to impress on people that most actors are normal folks with the same warts and attributes we all have. Granted they have more money to deal with the annoyances of life- and where they choose, to make differences. (The Mel Gibson threads drive me up a wall - he's nothing like his percieved image).

FWIW, Hanks was one of the most concerned, aware and generous actors I ever experienced.

7. Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson campaign contributions
As you can see, they were quite active in 1999-2000. Looks like he and Rita need to be re-engaged in the process.

8. Tom Hanks (D) for President
I've said for years that Tom Hanks is the only person who could absolutely beat Bush, no questions asked. He is the PERFECT candidate. I'm all for Kerry, don't get me wrong, but Murkans are all about, like, celebrities 'n' stuff. Kerry can win this, I'm convinced that ANYONE can beat Bush with a half-way decent campaign, Bush is an unmitigated disaster from the middle-to-left range of the political spectrum. But Hanks, he would make Ahhhnuld quake. Universal name recognition, positive, limbic-brain responses to myriad acting roles he's played. Hell, imagine the irony of Forrest Gump beating GWBush. It's breathtaking in its exquisiteness.

Run, Tom, run.

Please. We're beggin' you.

If not, endorsing Kerry would be the next best thing.

10. I think the next best thing is the best thing...I doubt Tom has any
political aspirations...but in the event I'm once again wrong, I'd support him with...uh, gusto. :D

13. If Hollywood put their full starpower into Kerry...
...and/or against Bush, the tide would turn.

As it is, they're afraid of being "Dixie Chicked".

With their immense communication power, we'd be unstoppable.

16. Since it was built...
as a set (background) for his good old boy, I ain't from Connecticut image - I'd say a secondary interest might be in lower heating-cooling bills. Nothing else he's ever done or said indicates knowledge, much less concern, for the environment.
