1. He has been great on every show
His opener on CNN was very good. Even tempered, came across very credible, even place some blame on Clinton for good measure. He is obviously becoming very hard for the GOP Morning Spin Team to discredit him.

3. It's become obvious what the White House are doing to Clarke
Edited on Tue Mar-23-04 08:37 AM by glarius
They are taking the focus off Bush insisting on finding a reason to attack Iraq which was Clarke's main concern, by spotlighting the fact that Bush did go into Afghanistan first....They are explaining Bush's actions with Clarke in the private meeting by saying (my, how quickly they all get their stories harmonized) "it is only natural Bush would be interested in Iraq, too".....They are shifting the emphasis off the Iraq war, which is the main point.
P.S....I've heard several White House spokespeople emphasize this we attacked Afghanistan point already....

5. The mere fact that BushCo and the RNC are sending out so
many of their lackeys to try to discredit Dick Clarke should tell people something: The number of minions appearing in the media spinning is in direct proportion to the level of credibility of the accusations made. The more Bush apologists you see, the more credible the allegations.

Needless to say, the White House and the GOP are defecating themselves.

4. I love what he said about Condi
in regards to her op-ed piece in the Washington Post. He said it was "counter factual."

6. "bullet proof vest"....I watched the show and saw Clarke make that
comment and at first thought he was just joking. However, knowing how this administration goes after people, it certainly makes sense to not only to get a vest, but to make sure you wear it.
