History is being made this week.
Things such as the 9-11 Commission and the Clarke book are creating an atmosphere where our nation is ready for positive change. The long winter is over, and the sun is waking the life that has been hibernating since the 2000 election. It is a great time to be a democrat. This creates an opportunity for us to plow some fertile grounds. How many people are taking part in actions that include public education on issues; voter registration; and/or helping "under-represented" groups to participate in the political process? What methods are people using? Can people from d.u. become a lossely coordinated force in politics this year, beyond being a great discussion group?

1. Reminds me of Watergate. They're showing the hearing live on CNN.
If they start showing it on the networks we know it's REALLY catching on...

6. the networks
ALWAYS give the republican viewpoint the last word. i have noticed this time and again, they report the latest outrage and then they give some repuke the floor to rebut the whole thing. mr and mrs joe average are left with that final impression.

5. Yes, but we must make sure the TRUE story will go down as history
I agree that this is a HUGE, MOMENTOUS week. We could possibly see the entire collapse of the BFEE and the neo-cons, and why shouldn't we? If I'm right, and I am 95% confident that I am, they are responsible (even if indirectly) for the greatest crime ever committed against the American public! This CANNOT be swept under the rug, because if they can get away with this, they can get away with anything, and then we will know that Democracy is truly nothing but a big giant sham.
