14. No
They would commit only to high-altitude-launched spitballs, and only then in the face of great popular opposition.

8. REUTERS: I've got some news for you!!
IRAQ is NOT part of the "global anti-terrorism effort."

:puke: when even news services that should know better morph anti-terrorism with Iraq!

12. Bye bye U.S. military aid
If they receive any to begin with. That's what happens when states refuse to sign Article 98 agreements.

16. I'm really appalled at some of the posts here.
First I think this is excellent news, especially given the way that the US has been threatening and bullying Croatia on this issue, as well as on the International Criminal Court.

It takes guts to stand up to the Bush regime, because they have shown they will retaliate against dissenters, and they have threatened Croatia, Bosnia and other countries.

But I have to say I'm really appalled at the attitude of the posters on this thread who are showing an incredible arrogance which I can only associate with American ignorance and imperialism.

There's really no need to display this kind of ignorance, just because you know nothing of this country and consider it to be a small powerless place.

You should instead be recognizing the kind of courage that it takes for small countries to stand up to the Bush bullies.

I really think there's no hope for the US if even at progressive places like DU we're seeing this kind of imperialistic attitude.
