What can be done?? The world turned its back on the holocaust even though churchill and roosevelt knew it was going on; no one wanted the jews after the war - they had to go somewhere. I dont believe their claims that Israel is theirs because they lived in it once a few millenia ago, but regardless of where they had moved to would have caused friction. I can see their point of view of having their own country to avoid future holocausts, but also see the arabs point of view of being kicked out of their homes. More so since the excuse of biblical appropriation is not part of their Koran (i think) Is there a solution? YES! Get rid of the religious loonies of both sides and let them talk rationally to each other.

1. the solution is obvious: 2 states and a divided Jerusalem |

And the reason it won't work is obvious: there are thousands of Palestinians who will accept nothing less than the destruction of Israel and thousands of Israelis who will accept nothing less than a greater Israel that includes the occupied territories.
