2. I wonder if we are having real problems
or if this is all profiteering. Granted there are a few things to point to(Venezuela, Iraq unrest) but come on gas is like 2 times what it was 3 years ago or so. And I don't care what Europeans pay. That's their problem.

3. OPEC decreased production
though I'm not sure what effect that actually had aside from an excuse to jack prices.

6. The price of a barrel of oil has decreased for Europe since 2001
At least if they are paying for it in Euros, due to the dollar's pathetic exchange rate.

Not sure if it's translated into savings the gas pumps in Europe, however.

CAMPAIGN 2004

Kerry says Bush is soft on Chávez

John Kerry charges that President Bush's passive approach to backing opponents of Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez reflects a larger record of `sending mixed signals.'

Is Kerry pandering for FL votes or is he moving right?

Fact: Oil prices are going up because Bush devalued the dollar

5. We're spending a fucking lot more than 87 billion dollars-does anyone have
Edited on Tue Mar-23-04 02:29 PM by Zinfandel
the real amount.

And then how do you measure the cost of 600 US soldiers killed so far, thousands more with no limbs and tens of thousands of very innocent women, children and the old. Iraqi's with no homes and military in their backyards forcing Bush's "democracy" down their throats...so BushCo could invade and steal their oil, install a US imperialistic base to go after more oil in the future...all it was ALL based on lies, deception and greed, and WE are paying for with OUR tax dollars and then, then even want to take what little we have at the gas pumps in inflated prices so the oil companies need to make even larger, much larger profits....by the way as we give these same oil companies corporate welfare for thier oil "explorations" and tax breaks as they hide their money in offshore accounts, pay no taxes, cut our wages and health "benefits" elimanating jobs to find cheaper labor overseas....you try and start a union, your gone for some "other" reason of course...filthy, greedy corporate republican insects!!!!

Any the Bush lovers wonder why the Iraqi's are blowing up oil pipelines with the oil in it that BushCo wants to steal...they wonder why the Iraqi's are killing our soldiers as we dictate to them occupy their land and tell them it's for their own good and so is television.

8. $120 billion and counting
NOTHING in the next year's budget projections for Iraq and it will be another $60 billion or so.

Pundits are saying it will cost a trillion if it goes on 15 years as expected.

That would buy a lot of oil, or make huge inroads in alternative fuel goals, and would be less bloody.

But then, smirk couldn't call himself a "war prezdint" so I guess we can't have that, can we?
