I got another email from a mom who lost her son in Iraq

Keep this in mind while you choke on Don's testimony. I get these all the time, and they ruin me every time. This mother asked me for my opinion on her statement. I am not putting up her personal comments to me, but the statement is below.

My son died on ****** **th in Iraq on a lonely dusty road without his family to say goodbye or to tell him we loved him. His name
was ******* ********* (24), a very promising career officer and leader in the United States Army. The pain within our family over his loss is unbearable at times because we loved him so!

I, his mother, since his death is overwhelmed with the fact that the White House committed a high crime by selling propaganda to the American people and Congress to win its case to go to war. If found guilty that the white house sexed up the intelligence report to make its case, isn't this unconstitutional and considered a crime.

Also, if found guilty, won't the death of my son be considered a wrongful death if our soldiers were committed to a war that was unconstitutional? And, isn't my right as a citizen and a family member, can sue the guilty parties for his death?

These are questions I would like a lawyer to answer for me as a casualty family of this unconstitutional war. The 600 so families that have suffered the most from the white house lies need the truth as to why we had to go to war. Every day more leaks are filtering to the news about the white house recklessness in starting a war against Iraq and what they really found to be true.

If it was just Saddam whom the white house wanted, than why didn't they exercise the international high court to try him on crimes he committed to his neighbors and his own people? Convict him and send him to jail. Isn't that the civilized way to do things? Someone needs to defend the casualty person or the casualty families and their rights even though our son/daughters/husbands/wives were in the military.

No military person signs up in the military services to die. That might be a risk, but it's not the reason to choose it as a career. The simple fact is that all the casualty families are ordinary citizens in the United States that believed in the American democracy where Congress and even our President is a trusting body of legislature that speaks for its people. The American people were taken advantage of and the vote of our congress in October 2002 was not the consensus of the American public.

Without the truth and our congress to find the real truth, the white house sold all of us a bill of goods unworthy of what our constitution was built upon. Even though the casualty families are very proud of all our soldiers and their duty to America, they are only following orders and have no say so to this awful war. They feel like "red coats."

Please help me and others to find a way to tell America how we feel about the reckless behavior of the white house and that affect upon our lives today. It is one thing for a President to tell lies to discredit or save face, but its an entirely different thing when a president tells lies which people lose their lives - that is murder!

I can only imagine how horrible it must be to lose a child under any circumstances, but especially in a cause that, it's becoming increasingly clear, is absurd.

4. It took decades to remove the pain of 100s of thousands of Americans...

...and Vietnamese who died needlessly in Vietnam. Actually many of us have never gotten over it. I was just lucky enough to have people like Ron Kovic, John Kerry, and many others who had the intelligence, and the guts to put a stop to the insanity right before I was to be drafted. Their efforts saved me from going there to kill some person who never did anything to me, or get killed myself. Again all for nothing.

I hope when you respond to these letters that you're able to let these people know that they aren't alone...that there are a lot of their fellow Americans who want the truth for them and for those they lost.

We owe them. No one should have to die so far from home and family and for no good reason.

3. As a father...

who loves his children very much, my heart goes out to that lady, and all other parents, brothers and sisters, grandparents, etc. who have lost someone in this illegal fucking war. Once again, please excuse my crude language, it may not be appropriate, but all this stuff tends to bring out the worst in me. edited for lousy typing

6. She should get some Congressman and Senator to introduce a private

bill. You can only sue the government with their permission. With a private bill for her to sue being introduced, the whole lies thing would reheat!!This might be some comfort to her, to know that the deception is aired once again.

Not revenge, but a way to get the anger out.
