4. This is the rare case when I would say we shouldn't dignify the attack...

...by giving a response. Yes, we should rally to Max Cleland's defense. Yes, we should call a spade and spade and hold up Coulter for the throughly valueless, ignorant, degenerate, lying, vicious, sleazy, low, mean-spirited, Scaife-money-sucking, vile, (probably) drug-addled being she is.

But Max Cleland will appear in the history books. Coulter will not. She's done nothing of value. She won't even have children living after her. Cleland should go on and live his life and let Coulter fade away.

In this case, I really think time wounds all heels.
