Yellowstone to erupt?
From CBS Evening news tonight

Yellowstone's Explosive Secret
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyoming, March 23, 2004
Old Faithful Geyser erupts in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming.

Online doomsday scenarios are swirling all over chat rooms telling visitors to stay away. Yellowstone, they warn, could blow.
(CBS) For years, CBS News Correspondent Sandra Hughes reports, scientists have tried to understand the dynamic nature of Yellowstone National Park.

But -- Here's an amazing, positive HEALING RESPONSE TO YELLOWSTONE -- and to the general mega-crisis of our times.

Scroll down the page to see the super-imposed image of how the ceremony will play out on May 8.

In my view, this is one of the best things to happen in Indian Country in many a year.

4. High noon on May 8, 2004
From the article:

"There will be a particular emphasis when High Noon comes to the Four Grandmothers Standing Tall (Grand Tetons in Wyoming). That is when ceremonies in the entire Medicine Wheel will also be putting a focus on being of one mind and heart, expressing their gratitude for Creation by raising the vibration to its highest level."

5. The George Whassisname from the former Art BELL Show
was running with this several months ago, and when this was posted here, somebody responded that he or his father was a geology specialist of some kind, that the blow wasn't going to happen, that the two signs of something happening would be a mass influx of geology grad students into the park, then the second sign, being the mass EXODUS of same for the imminent blow. I dunno, it's scary every time.

12. That'd be Hawker Hurricane's dad, retired geologist I believe
Seem to recall he spends his summers doing the naturalist thing to help teach tourists. Yes, the area is overdue, in a geological sense for a major blow, but nature works in her own time.

I live in the likely plume of any big blow. There is oodles of evidence around here of past blows; fallen and fossilized sequoias, odd shaped cones and hillocks that look just like the ash I clean out of my furnace, places that look a bit like the moon... Yep, it makes ya wonder.

While I use the possibility of a big blow up as an excuse for not doing any serious dieting, I really don't worry about it much. Better chance of getting hit by a drunk driver. On a less personal scale, it would be a major problem and take out a large chunk of America it that lava pool jumps.

Maybe it will kill us off and bring back big reptiles?
Paging Jack Horner...

6. If Yellowstone erupts, I'll blame Bush. Really, I will.
At my foiliest, I believe these people are in league, consciously or not, with some very dark elements. I've learned too much to dismiss such notions out of hand.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Earth respond with some natural manifestations of revulsion. Particularly in the heart of America.

7. Yellowstone park sits ontop of a caldera or 'super-volcano'
The eruption cycle is every 600,000 years. It is 60,000 years overdue.

9. I visited Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons for the last time in October.
Personally, I believe the end is near for all of us. Mother Earth is extremely pissed at what we have done to her and her environment. If there isn't a catastrophic explosion in Yellowstone...it's the global warming that will be our demise. BTW, Thank you, Mr. Bu$H!!!

10. Beyond the possible eruption at Yellowstone
what seems important here is that the Medicine Wheel Ceremony that native elders are calling for is for everyone -- no matter the color of thier skin or the substance of their spiritual beliefs -- to come together.

This is the America that I grew up loving -- open to everyone. No judgements. You come in a good way, you are welcome. We do it together.

This is also the America that BushCo has been striving to destroy. "You are either with us, or against us."

For that reason, I will join this circle in the South at Turquoise Mountain.

11. If Yellowstone really blows,
staying away from it won't help much. I believe remnants from the last big blow were found as far east and south as Mississippi or Alabama. Even so, the effects would be world wide.

13. Wondering if the sudden interest and drumbeating on this one is psych-op
working to get the American public to not visit our natural treasures. Without visitors, there will be less emotional attatchment. Without that, less vehement insistence on protecting this place from development from extraction industries.

Don't think it takes a tin-foiler to see the crass mass manipulation the neocons use to get people to do their bidding for them.

15. Human Life is but a Blip in Geologic Time
It may be 60,000 years overdue; it might also go another 100,000 years without blowing. Or it could blow 10 or 20 or 50 or 100 years from now. Who knows? We won't know until we're right on the brink. I'd be more concerned about freak asteroids slamming into the earth over that time period.
