It's really beginning to bother me
that the spin message from the 9/11 commission is that the Clinton admin. engaged in fruitless diplomacy to remove Bin Laden instead of using military force. Bottom line, this crap is making me lose confidence that truth can be shown to the American public and causes of why we are here will never be asked.

1. Truth will win this time!
The power of the veracity will propel the truth to the fore and the people will see it and know.

2. That Kerrey was really outrageous.
He didn't get his war as quickly as he wanted it, so....

Doncha know military force solves everything. Gotta keep that "offense" budget high so we can use all those expensive goodies!!It's about time Kerry(the Presidential candidate) got a clue.

3. When was the last time you saw a govt commission expose the truth?
It's a given that they are simply a mechanism for cover-up. The Warren Commission, Iran-Contra Hearings -- all of it - it's always just a coverup. The only time they ever nailed "wrongdoing in high places" was with Watergate. And even then, what they nailed Nixon for (breaking into DNC headquarters) was NOTHING compared to the really criminal things he did (like secretly bombing Cambodia for a year).

4. The spin is still pretty damming
So if military action was the answer, why did they sit on their hands until after 9/11? I didn't really catch on to non-existent Cole response until today. They did nothing because it was "stale?" (Rumsfeld).

They also kept talking today about how pointless it was to blow up terrorist training camps. And they determined this by the one time we blew one up under Clinton? Military action isn't the answer either, it just breeds more terrorists.

There may not have been one thing that could have prevented 9/11, but you can at least do the little things to slow them down and make it harder. It's like leaving your front door wide open. While a locked door won't stop somebody from breaking a window, maybe a neighbor hears the glass break and the burglars only get 2 minutes of grabbing things instead of a half hour.
