put him in charge of the crisis center on 9/11? No one denies this happened, Clarke said he was one of the few people who stayed behind in the WH. Why did they do that if he's now supposedly an incompetent?

They tar him as an unstable ingrate who they were well rid of, but release his resignation letter and trumpet that he was so sedate and complimentary of Bush.
