Paul Harvey is a right-wing jack-ass
I was listening to my local right-wing controlled AM radio station today. I heard gool 'ol Paul Harvey talking about how "Kerry family fortune" the Heinz family... who was not even his until recently. Has like 75 factories over seas.

Besides picking up on this story about a month after every body else did (Rush and Hannity), does anybody actually think Kerry has a say in the runnings of the Heinz Company. I seroiusly doubt it.

1. A right winger I e-mail with
gave me crap about this. I told him that it is actually Mrs. Heinz-Kerry who owns the company, and that she only inherited it 12 years ago, doesn't have much to do with the operations anyway...

You know what his reply was?

"Don't you think Kerry has control over his wife? Don't you think he can tell her what to do with Heinz?"

Somehow I think he's missing the point. Maybe he hasn't noticed that the days of men bossing their wives around are over.

11. Why do wingnuts assume
"Don't you think Kerry has control over his wife? Don't you think he can tell her what to do with Heinz?"

That a woman with a nine figure fortune would have the attributes of a mousy, right wing, Stepford wife?

2. More BS for the feeper ditto head types
Edited on Wed Mar-24-04 07:02 PM by Mountainman
The only people who this makes a difference to are those who tune into Rush everyday to find out what they are supposed to think today.

Rush, "The way you people have to look at this is, Kerry is a flipfloping liar."

Listener, "Oh thank you Rush, until now I didn't have any opinion about Kerry."

10. Those overseas factories
Probably produce products for overseas customers... so it is probably not outsourcing. Who wants to buy a bottle of ketchup that has to be shipped 3000 miles anyway.

13. Good God, I'm a 130 years old and my parents listened to him
when I was a child. Even as a kid I knew the guy was an ass. How could he still be alive?? But I have to tell you that Paul Harvey is like a god fixture in the midwest. Maybe he's actually dead and the repukes just have someone doing his voice!!! He's the original Limbaugh only in a "shucks, folksy way". They listen to him out in the midwest passed on from parents to kids. And it's the midwest where this battle will take place.....pray for this old bastard to be taken to the home soon.

17. If my wife had nine figure income...
I would not care a whit about anything anyone said. I'd be on vacation 24 x 7 and out of the spotlight. With that much money who needs political power and glory.
