Are We Making Political Hay--or dropping the ball, as usual??
Rice not appearing in front of the 9/11 commission is just one of 10,000 examples in the last few days. As the Clarke bomb was hitting, heard a reporter within the Kerry camp say something that sickened me. He reported that in conversations with Kerry staff that Kerry does not want to get involved with any of this 9/11 controversy of what Bush failed to do nor his immediate jump to demanding Iraq conntections, etc.

We apparently want to make this campaign about jobs/healthcare, etc. BUT you never refrain from kicking the slats out from under your opponent especially if the s.o.b. only has one slat to run on!! Let him slither out from under this and he will ride it all the way to a second term. This I know---we had massive turnouts in the primaries because Dems were livid and united and wanting to take this right into Bush's face. If the Dem Party thinks that it was cute to attack Bush for the sake of primary season but reverts to ducking under the table and sucking it's thumb as it has for three years, I can tell them they won't get away with it. We workers on the ground know that such actions will make it impossible for us to get the voters out. Right now Kerry needs to attack this administration for being scared to testify--ie., Rice not appearing--Bush wanting only an hour--Bush opposing the commission in the first place--Bush opposing extention of commission, etc. This is where we cut the "honorable" and "honest" label from him. I was a Kerry supporter for the get-go. I wasn't even close to supporting Dean. But I imagine right now that Dean would have his bulldog face into the camera and be thumping Bush on the chest with his finger.

2. Because I'm honest and fucking livid
What do you want me to do....make you feel all warm, happy and "we's gonna win" shit tonight?? There's a lot going on. That commission is a joke and we are not the beneficiaries of this crap. And, I want some goddamn response to stuff that is being handed to us on a silver--no platinum--platter. We hit now or we put up with Bush being able to ride 9/11 to victory. He will. You have to give people a reason to hate him. It's right now within our grasp and Kerry doesn't chose to engage. Iv'e had 3 fucking years of these people not engaging and so have the involved Dems. that was the mesage of these primaries....and now we wait and wait and wait. Someone has to tell the Kerry camp to "wake the fucking up NOW".
