1. Powell was the only token
sensible person in the whole bunch. He dropped the ball big time...

2. I agree...
At least Clarke stood by his beliefs. Powell sold out badly. The rest of the list are simply horrible people and liars.

4. Powell seemed like the only hope for sanity in this administration.
Oh well. (sigh)

5. I posted this - then DU went down. So, bump, and I pick Powell.
Like McNamara in "The Fog of War," Colin Powell will recall his days in the Bush Administration with "mixed emotions." The Bastard. McNamara knew it when he still served, and Powell knows it now. The SOB is worse than the true believer neo-cons. Powell knows - He KNOWS - that this is wrong and immoral.

6. I picked all of them, but remove Clarke from the choice as he is NOT...
them.

8. Nope. Up to the voters.
Of course he is not one of them, but here on DU, we offer options. Hell, you think I posted Cheney and Wolfowitz because they are "disappointments?" They are nothing if not consistent - consistently evil.

7. Colin Powell, because
I actually used to have a great deal of respect and admiration for him, and he has blown it completely. His being a lapdog shill for the regime, and especially his going in front of the UN and lying through his teeth, have demonstrated that he was never the person that I used to think he was.

His son Michael at the FCC has also lowered my opinion of him. He raised a pretty rotten kid.

The other ones I never had any expectation of their being anything other than what they are, although overall, I wasn't expecting the Bush regime to be quite as evil and destructive as they have turned out to be.
