Peculiar conflict. Why would she go on talk shows and yet be unwilling to testify under oath?

Can it be any more transparent?

1. They hope that Americans are too stupid to notice.
They think that Americans will just pay attention to what she says on the "news." They figure Americans will tune out the hearings.

This alone shows what contempt the Bush administration has for Americans.

2. This will really hurt the administration.
Her appearance on TV and radio talk shows should be barred by the WH. The TV and radio hosts do not the information that the Commission has so they are ill prepared to ask her really good questions. She can call Clarke a liar and get away with it and deny his charges while she is not under oath. I say that the Commission should seek an injunction against her to keep her off the public airways because she is hamperign their work.

6. Just as she did on CNBC during the past hour...
...Condi Rice is the most evil woman in America. She is twisting and spinning the truth when she should be completely up front with the commission and the American people. She can not testify under oath because she would have to perjure herself. :eyes:

3. It shows how out of touch and in fantasyland this administration is.
It's pathetic that they don't get it. I wish somehow they will be pressured to step down.

4. Someone has suggested that this is all a setup to get Condi to...
attract more attention than Clarke when she does testify. Interesting thought...

7. Bingo! you win.
She refuses to take the oath. What is the oath? it is simply a declaration under the name of God Almighty to tell the truth.
Why is she reluctant to take theoath?
The refusal to take the oath and to testify in public is a blatant statement that she is going to lie her ass off in the name of King George.
