Many news stories have said that SF's mayor Willie Brown got an early warning not to fly on 9/11. There are are some rumors on the web that the tipster may have been... Condi Rice.

Willie Brown got low-key early warning about air travel

For Mayor Willie Brown, the first signs that something was amiss came late Monday when he got a call from what he described as his airport security - - a full eight hours before yesterday's string of terrorist attacks -- advising him that Americans should be cautious about their air travel.

ACCORDING to a report today Friday, May 17, 2002, on Pacifica Radio, the warning to San Francisco's mayor came from squeaky-clean Condoleezza Rice.

Could fear of THIS question be the reason Condi is refusing to testify under oath before the 9/11 Commission?

1. Maybe the 9-11 panel should call Willie Brown and find out
Who gave him the tip and where he got the information. If they were more then a rubber stamp that is.

2. Well, Condi did spend time at Stanford --
so may have been acquainted with Brown in San Francisco. Hmmmm...
