Imagine a world without George W. Bush as President of the USA
What would that be like? Help us Pagans and Wiccans put these visualizations into daily prayers. Help yourself by creating images of what a world without George W. Bush as President of the United States would be like. How do YOU see our country and the world without Chimpy in power?

1. Compared to where the world currently is at...
a world without Bush would be a "New Utopia".

4. Thankyou Neoplatonist. A 'New Utopia' would be too much like...
Huxley. These visualizations are NOT to promise anyone a new era where everything is taken care of. No. Put this in our own era, please. Let me put it this way.... If every day we wake up and imagine that our world is without the influence of George W. Bush, what would that world be like?

8. Okay...I'll be realistic. LOL.
Edited on Thu Mar-25-04 07:28 AM by Neoplatonist
I tend to be overtly idealistic--I'm very Gnostic and Hermetic. Every argument has an equally opposing argument. Therefore one should be sceptical about everything. I was being figurative, not literal.

Socrates used to say, "I know nothing and am ignorant of everything." The great Skeptic Sextus Empiricus pointed out that if that were true, Socrates wouldn't even know "I know nothing and am ignorant of everything." Because in order to know that, Socrates must have known something--the very thing he denied knowing. So being sceptical has its merits.

Anyway, I think the world would be less insecure, as it was under Clinton. I think countries would cut John Kerry some slack and be far more willing to be helpful to secure our ultimate goals--fighting terrorism, rebuilding the economy, including fair-trade agreements, rebuilding damaged diplomatic relations, sharing responsibilities, etc. Compared to where we are now, it sounds like Utopia to me. I am sceptical that Kerry will win. Gamblers always bet on the money, and Bush has it all. And the so-called Free Press isn't free at all. It's right-wing controlled, as we all know.

That's why I think it would be a "New Utopia." I actually had Thomas More in mind when I made the "Utopia" comment. Bush will most likely be elected for the first time. I know that is bad to say at D.U., but opinions vary.

2. Dig up that thread in LBN with pictures of the protests
marking the anniversary of the invasion of Iraq.

That's my picture of the world without Bush. I was crying all the way through it.

5. It would be different- but not that different.
The problem we're dealing with goes much deeper than the Bush administration. Radical right-wing ideas have seeped very deep into our culture, thanks to assholes like Rush and Savage and conservative "think-tanks." These guys are organized and are not afraid to show leadership in advocating their ridiculous ideas. We are going to have to grow a pair of our own if we have any hope of taking our country back, and it's going to take a lot of work past this election.

9. Right on and I recall when they said they would do it, and I laughed.
I frankly did not believe any Church crazies would take over the US. Did we have that with the Know Nothing party? History of church states were known by our founders. I thought every one knew they have usually been just awful. What they said was they were going to take over the local govt then school dept. and they have done it.

11. Creative visualization
President Kerry reestablishes American prestige abroad as he calls for a multi-national approach to helping Iraq become a federal democracy. He stops all military aid to Israel and then steps aside as UN members come on board to hammer out a just and fair settlement of the Palestinian issue.

Medicare is saved as it is dovetailed into a new overall health care program that covers all Americans, and that stresses wellness and utilitzes a holistic approach to medical care.

Constitutional rights are restored to all Americans, and the people at Guantanimo are given prisoner of war status, the right to an attorney, and a right to a speedy trial. Many are let go.

The truth comes out about what happened on 911, and a gigantic Peace Circle is utilized to cleanse the area, send lingering souls on, and to reinstitute Light into the World Trade Center area.

Blessed Be.

13. What do you think keeps me from just killing myself now?
I think of that almost constantly.

There will be a lot of damage to repair. Getting the Bush Cabal out ofvisible power will be but the first step. There is still a lot of covet Neo-Con activity in this country.
People need to either go to prison or get their necks stretched for what they did to this country. PNAC needs to be rooted out and destroyed.

The separation of Church and State needs to be re-affirmed and strengthened. We need to realize that talk of "The Kingdom of God" is just code-talk for "Something like the Taliban had,but with ME at the head of it..."

And that's just for starters....

Add my energy to yours, it doesn't cost me anything, and who knows?

Every day that we all can imagine with being with out George W. Bush in power is one day closer to actually being there!

14. To be perfectly honest, Junior's never been president...
...you have to be legally elected for that to happen.

That being said, I will be very pleased the day the Chief Squatter is thrown out of the White House and is charged with treason.
