They said the story about Powell & Armitage leaving was concocted by the neo-cons, in order to weaken Powell further.

Tweety said that the leaker left his fingerprints, by suggesting certain replacement for NSA. Tweety thinks it's Scooter involved again.

So take your pick. I sort of thought it would be #1 that it got leaked and Powell is the only one in this administration that some Moderate Repugs trust......so they were worried they would lose some of them if Powell was definite about leaving. But, it could be #'s 2 and 3. Who knows?
