Paging John Kerry: Get on the WMD Jokes!!
Did not hear the dinner speech Bush gave last night but apparently he was joking around (precious little clown that he is) about not finding the WMD's. CNN this morning said they were innudated with unsolicited e-mails from people who found nothing funny about this since 600 Americans died looking for Mr. Bush's "joke". Hope Kerry has been informed and I pray he makes some political hay out of this and releases a statement (kick this s.o.b. while he's down). Kerry can talk as a decorated veteran who has seen combat that our Commander in Chief is demonstrating his uncaring, lack of empathy and knowledge of the military families by entertaining the crowds with these callous jokes. Come on John.....it's these little things that do even more damage than 9/11 commissions where Bush puts out propaganda against those who testify. This he can't blame on anyone. Political opportunity is knocking!!!

Between O'Neil's book and Clarke's testimony and book exposing the lie and * joking about it while so many lost their lives in Iraq - well it's STUNNING!!

7. Yes. This and the trifecta jokes
Edited on Thu Mar-25-04 09:49 AM by nu_duer
*He jokes about 9*11 after it happened, and now jokes about his fraud of a war that has killed and maimed thousands.

This really is disgusting.

An slimy AWOL coward ordering troops into bloody battle for his lies while he jokes about it. An ad showing him doing this, and joking about his 9*11 trifecta, and a stinging tagline pointing out that war-hero Kerry knows first hand the seriousness of these events, would end bush in the eyes of almost all Americans.

It should be done and be done now.

3. Can you imagine being the family
of someone who died in Iraq and truly believed Bush and the whole WMD thing seeing that?

Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting.

4. If this story grows legs.
How will his attack dogs spin this into a positive? They have just started attacking R. Clarke when bush* comes out with something else stupid. Who said Rove was a political genius?

10. They can't spin their own words
Put the footage in an ad and show the people what a low live scumbag we have for a "leader."

It is spin proof.

You're right--the Kerry campaign must jump on this NOW.

8. I tend to agree
The Kerry campaign needs to respond with ads just as personal and hard hitting as what the Bush team is putting out there.

The fact that the Kerry ads will have truth on their side and are issued as a response and not as an unprovoked first strike will be lost on many but is a point that should be made clear.

I don't think the Kerry campaign should allow the republicans to get in several months of mud slinging with their ads and then switch to "taking the moral high ground".

It's ugly, but all things being equal Kerry IMO has a natural advantage with the facts and Bush has a natural disadvantage due to it being more "unseemly" for the incumbent to use these tactics.

But there's a limited window of opportunity. Kerry playing nice and Bush fighting dirty can quickly become to be viewed as the status quo and a later ratcheting up of negativity by Kerry would receive a more jaundiced perception than it would otherwise.

9. Maybe not Kerry
Let him continue to stay out of Bush's way, but let MoveOn or AirAmerica or some other, independant groups get on it. I think it's absolutely sick that he would joke about that, as well as the 'trifecta' joke that he keeps using, over, and over, and over...

It's disgusting, and shameful. How could it possibly be funny that we send people to die for this, and then couldn't find evidence of what they were supposedly protecting us from? I don't understand that.

I grow more sickened every day this Chimp remains in office.
