What Do You Think Of Zell Miller's 'Democrats For Bush' campaign?
He's launching this new platform today. He was on Hannity & Colmes last night justifying why he chose to endorse Bush. He claimed that John Kerry is indeed a war hero, but that his policies are very liberal and unfit for the country we currently live in.

He said he was going to send emails to democrats across the nation to show them the light of the day and enlist their support for Bush's re-election.

This guy gets all his traction from the slimy self-promoter Hannity. Hannity questions Richard Clarke's credibility as his accusations came out in a book from which he would profit. He sees no irony in the fact that Zell and himself endlessly promote their own books on his radio and TV shows. Books that trash the Democratic party and liberalism.

It's interesting that Zell actually discovered his fondness for conservatism and the Republican ideology only after he decided to not run for re-election in GA as a Democrat. He'd also decided to endorse Bush long before he knew the Democratic nominee.

I wonder where Zell would get his mailing list from. I'm on at least one of the Democratic party mailing list. I hope I get an email from him!

Do you think this would have any negative impact on Kerry's campaign?

3. We need to use the RW strategy and discredit him somehow
I think it could hurt Kerry's campaign with the general public that doesn't know Zell and what he's about.

We need to show that he's not a real Democrat and does not speak for Democrats.

4. I think most of us are laughing at Zell.
He is senile.

Jimmy Carter needs to blast him out of the water. He should denounce him soundly and loudly. People still respect Carter.

If I get an e-mail from Zell I will ask him if he is well. I will ask him if he has seen his doctor lately. I will tell him to check his meds.

Now democrats can see what they REALLY voted for...another worthless republican posing as a democrat. That's as dirty and lowdown as anyone can get,IMHO.

8. Zell Miller needs to do two things..well actually three things..
1) Leave the Democratic party

2) Shut up

3) Fuck off

Why in the world the DNC hasn't publicly dis-avowed themselves of this raving lunatic is beyond me....Does anyone think that a rethuglican launching a campaign named (Republicans for Kerry) would last any longer than a sno-cone in hell??? Not bloody likely....

Terry McAuliffe needs to grow a pair and tell Zell to go take a flying fuck at the moon....He is an absolute disgrace....

15. We have no room in the tent for Republicans
but it probably was going a little far to wish for his death. Personally, all I wish for is that this traitor is never again allowed to call himself a Democrat.

11. "Zell Who?"
That's the response I get whenever I talk about him to anyone other than hardcore political junkies such as ourselves. Not to excuse that traitorous bastard, but believe me when I say that John McCain saying Kerry isn't weak on defense is FAR more damaging to Republicans than Zell Miller endorsing Bush is damaging to Democrats.

13. Zell is a Republican, he only retains hid D affiliation to
so he can make claims like this one.

There is no Democratic crossover this election cycle, that fact is one of Chimp's worst problems. If it gives Zell his jollies to participate in a charade that pretends otherwise, more power to him. He looks and acts the fool anyway, this is just another act in the play.

21. Faux has all kinds of this type--I'm a Democrat, but . . .
The Repugs are experts at this. They have e-mail campaigns to newspapers of the type "I used to be a Democrat, but . . ." or "I didn't vote for Bush the first time, but . . ."

It's so he can sell that "Democrats for Bush" crap that he still retains the title. :puke:

18. in a word or two concerning miller: nothing but an insurgent & scalawag
the latter a derogatory term used in the South after the Civil War to describe native white Southerners who joined the Republican party and aided in carrying out congressional reconstruction programs.

fits miller like a glove.

20. Thanks guys. I feel a lot better. I must admit
that I was a normal American, going about my daily business and leaving the politics to those qualified to handle it. Until Shrub and the weeds came along. Now I'm committed to doing anything to send these guys back to where they came from, or worse. So this Zell guy bothered me a bit.
Thanks again.

Frankly, I don't think most people take him seriously. It's far worse for bush that John McCain defended Kerry on defense issues than for Miller to start some sort of bushleague club.

30. Who gives a damn what Republicans think?
Zell's just keeping the D after his name because the R's already have the majority in the Senate and he can use the fact that he is nominally a Democrat to cause trouble for Kerry. My guess, once he is needed by the Republicans to change parties, he will.

My hope is that Georgians toss him out on his ass.

What a slimy little buttsmoocher. Says that we shouldn't be bickering publically about 9/11, as it makes America look weak and un-united/divisive to the terra-ists.

Bite my ass, Zell, you Soviet-era secrecy relic.

Kisses,

It is Zell who is out of step with the party's past leaders, and I think Kerry's smart enough to show this without insulting him as much as I'd like him to.

34. Zell Miller expects to be richly rewarded
Follow the Bush money trail. I predict someone's dangled a trail of crumbs in front of this turncoat. Follow the thrail from one crumb to another.

What's Zell's financial situation? What's he planning to do for a living in the private sector. That sonofabitch has been bought by somebody--be it weapons manufacturers, oil interests, or who knows what other corporate scam artists--that man has the look of one who comes with a bill of sale.

Lets get Terry to talk to him and get our party in Congress to take him off all and any committee he is currently serving.
