GRAND RAPIDS -- Ten youths at a Christian-based program the state uses to treat juvenile delinquents said last fall they were forced to participate in religious activities, investigators with the Michigan Family Independence Agency testified in federal court Wednesday.

Two girls at Teen Ranch, the 38-year-old residential program, said they are Catholic but were forced to attend services at a Protestant church, according to testimony in federal court in Grand Rapids.
