Don Imus: Clarke had no authority to apologize to the 9/11 families.
Edited on Thu Mar-25-04 03:46 PM by Liberal_Guerilla
I stayed up late this past evening to see what Imus was going to say about Clarke's testimony, especially since Imus has been endorsing Kerry. He said that he watched the whole testimony, and was outraged by his apology towards the 9/11 families.

I am not quoting word for word but he basically said that Clarke was arrogant to apologize to the 9/11 families, basically stating "who does this guy think he is"?

It amazes me what idiots they have placed behind microphones and cameras. Frankly I want to know who the hell Don Imus thinks he is to be spewing his poorly informed blather on the nations airwaves? Not who clarke is. We know who Clarke is, he is a devoted american patriot that has helped to make this country safe for 30 years.

What has Imus done?

7. I was wondering if he saw the same hearings as I saw?
He is an easily manipulated odl fool. All his sidekicks are idiot freepers that tell him what to think, and when he strays from the pack they correct him.

2. Somebody had to do it
Coordinator of Counterterrorism makes him qualified, I think.

And the families were very grateful to see any member of the administration take responsibility for anything.

8. I have never seen a glimpse of humanity coming out of Imus.
he is too far removed from real life. I am sure the whole show of real emotion was uncomfortable for him.

9. who does the guy think he is?
ummm, doesn't Imus know Clarke is a guy who's worked in US foreign policy for 30 years??? He may not have the authority to apologize on behalf of the US Govt, but he's got the experience and conscience to speak up on matters of foreign policy!!
also, I've only started Clarke's book, but there is much more about the history of American policy in the Middle East than dirt on the buffoon-boy some people call "Mr President" *shudder*

10. The Fact That HE said that
proves to me that he is nothing more than an egomaniac. I would love to see him say that to Clarke's face.

12. I wasn't aware of anyone who actually watched Imus...
or listened to his radio show. Seriously, I'm in NY and I know NOBODY who listes to that boring, egotistical twit.

I think I'd find more amusement pulling my fingernails out with needle-nose pliers than listening to that never-was.

I'm still trying to understand why he even has a radio show.

13. I think the only reason he's cozying up to Kerry
is to duck a possible audit and investigation from a Kerry IRS on that Reader's Digest Ranch scam of his.

Speculative, I know, but Imus is a opportunist and is not to be trusted. I don't know why people even bother to tune in...

16. I ahve only watched some of it recently.
because I am up into the wee hours of the morning looking for jobs on line. Imus comes on MSNBC at 3am out here on the west coast. he caught my ear when he started to endorse Kerry, which was a suprise.

15. We ALL should be sorry ...
... that our government failed us. Especially those directly responsible for the miserable failure.

Don't be fooled again!

17. Oh, I'm sorry, did a relative of his die on 9/11?
No?

Well, FUCK HIM.

The victim families seemed very happy with Mr. Clarke yesterday, and that is all that matters to me.
