How about a legislation that disallows any bills with religious overtones?
After reading posts about the genital piercing ban and censoring the classic novels I am outraged that the separation of church and state is being overlooked. Religious beliefs should not have any influence on government, as it states in the 1st amendment. Religion is a personal belief structure AFAIC,and no one religion should take precedence over another to influence law.
I know that a legislation like this would never pass either house due to fundie politicians taking fundie money to get and stay elected, but things are going too far. Soon we will be a Taliban type theocracy.

OK I've gotten out my mini rant. I feel better now.
