Okay. Another Thought To Chew On. The House of Saud.
I'm reading the House of Bush the House of Saud. Haven't finished it yet, but, when you read the description of the relationship between the Bushes and the Saudis, your mouth will drop open.

I mean we all knew about the business partners thing and all, but there's an extremely, to say the least, lucrative relationship going on here. Carlyle Group and god knows what else.

Lot of trafficking in oil and weapons. You know, they sell us oil, we sell them weapons. They sell 'em to whoever.

We know how long daddy Bush has been connected with intelligence.
Now, if you needed twenty arab types for patsies for a black ops thingy, you know, like a "traditional" hijacking, where would you get them? Those guys could have easily thought they were working for X, when they were really doing the bidding of Y.

Of course 15 of the 19 patsy names they came up with were Saudis. That always seemed kind of weird to me. But in retrospect, it now makes perfect sense. I mean who else did the junta have the kind of relationship with that they could get a group of arabs for the black ops.

At this point, the only question I have, is which partner decided to send those planes into the buildings?

1. I know people don't like Michael Moore very much here
But he's said it for a few years now. Not that I'm knocking the book, but it's an interesting observation how so many don't want to give Moore credit for what investigatory work he's done. Maybe it's because he combines politics with humor or some other reason.

6. I am proNader proKucinich etc
So the people I generally argue with are the rightwing of the democratic party: 'The Kerry is Jesus Crowd,' pro-lifers, pro-gunners, etc

Everytime I've mentioned his name before this, I get bashed.

19. I don't understand mstrssplinter. I like Moore.
What do you mean "why the anger"? Maybe you misunderstand. I'm saying that the Saudi-Bush connection should be investigated.

20. I am really sorry,
I thought you were being sarcastic, as most of the people I've run into in this forum when discussing Moore. If you don't intend your comments to be sarcastic, then I am truly sorry.

5. During the commission hearing yesterday
when the discussion was on the Saudis being flown out of the country after 9-11, there were several comments about the "classified" information. Apparently some things were stated in the closed hearings about Bin Laden's extended family.

I wonder what that was and why is it classified?

8. I lived in SA once and when I was their this happened.
Saudi people were always fussing about it taken a long time to get visa to US, like a week, so the US came out with this. Drop it off in front of building one day and pick it up the next. Every one was laughing because their were like 35 steps to get a permit to dive in the Red Sea. So it was easier to get into the US than to put on a suit and jump into the Red Sea. I am not sure which country I feel is really out of it. I went to a market town down near Yemen and it took us longer to get my pass to do that then the visa also. I also set of bells at an air port inside SA once and I had to have a women go all over me, it was the hook and eye on my under wear and this was over 10 years ago now.The country was nuts on being careful where we just let anyone in and do not even know where they are.

10. They have managed the Saudi connection extremely well,
I'd say. They got us going all around in circles over shit and nobody is focusing on the business relationship and the type of business that's being done.

How much of america does the House of Saud own stockwise? And until somebody comes out and tells us who made a killing on the stock market that day, I'm gonna assume it was some Saudis. Them being business partners and all, maybe somebody else got some of it too.

12. The saddest thing I see in my life is that what they are doing is all in
front of us. But because it's right in our faces, the people don't believe it. You can read all there plans, the PNAC papers, it's all out there but because it would be too obvious for them to commit murder and theft right before your very eyes, you never believe it when you see it. It's sad that we can be manipulated so well.

13. They ARE doing it before our eyes...
but the problem is, the people don't want to see it, or if they do, are too stupid to realize what's been happening. How many threads did I post this on...I called it grand theft and mass murder, and guess what, no one commented on one of those posts.

29. perhaps
the lack of response to such blatent coruption is due to the fact a lot of work needs to be done. more than superficial changes need to be made, and that requires vast amounts of collective effort and partisipation. the 'i'm doing all-right' mentality.

just a thought

22. Last kick to see if anybody else cares about this issue. I think they've
done an extremely good job of keeping people's attention focused on other things. People are just scared to touch this one for some reason. For the sake of people who won't touch this with a ten foot pole, I will freely put on my :tinfoilhat:

26. The Saudi's are the elephant in the room.
Every excuse by both administrations not to pursue OBL has the smell of Saudi influence all over it.
The 9/11 committee needs to start with the FBI agents in the fields with their hair on fire and ask who and why their information never made it through the appropriate channels.
I smell a rat that has connections to our security agencies and the Saudi family, and I do not even have to put on a tin hat.

with the richest people on the planet, and not scrutinizing it?
I don't know what it is, but even DU doesn't talk about it much.
