Do we help or hurt Clarke by taking his side?
What would have happened if we told the media--"Hey, he's not our guy, he's a Republican." Go ahead and deal with them.

I'm just so sick of any legitimate criticism being dismissed as partisan.

1. It Really Is Disgusting -
I Keep Hearing This "selling his book" Crap - If Clarke Was A Democrat Could The Criticism Be Any Worse? Republicans Stick Together Like A Collective Snot, But When One Speaks Up (and Sees The Light) Well, He's Dismissed As A "traitor, etc"

Nasty Nasty Nasty People Live All Around Us Apparently.

2. The media knows he's Republican

They just aren't making it an issue. If the facts support he's telling the truth I support him. So far I believe everthing he testified to including why he wrote a positive press release about bush when he worked for him.

6. He's a big boy and much smarter than the shrub's minions
he's doing fine on his own but anyone feels better knowing that he isn't standing alone. If we don't support the truth no matter where it comes from were no better than the shrub.

7. 911 Families are the people who will have to stand up
for him and his credibility. Anyone else will taint him. He is a Republican who is obviously very disgusted with the * Administration. They are not the libertarian type of Republicans that a lot of Repubs used to think was the party.

Last night on Nightline, talking about Cheney and Rice, he said they were mean and nasty people. (I'm not sure if the reference was direct but watching it you knew who he meant).

9. Well, I'm on his side too but think the Dem's have stayed away
so it doesn't look like they are politicizing it.

As it goes, if they are hurting themselves, just stay out of the way.

10. Somebody over at Free Republic
Dug up that Clarke has donated to Democratic campaigns and they were wanting to get the info to Rush. I saw the documentation briefly. If my memory is correct, the documentation showed that Clarke donated to two different local politicians, both Democrats. I think he donated to one of the Dems twice. I wish I would have kept a link, but I'm not going back there - I just washed my computer.
