What's the reason for Clinton not doing Public Testimony to 9-11 Comm?

I did a google search and haven't seen a good reason for it. He's very articulate and should present great contrast to Bush, Cheney, or Condi not doing public testimony.

..seeing as how they will only meet in private, NOT under oath, and only with TWO of the commissioners....

Why this isn't huge frickin' news all over the headlines is beyond me...

Part of my question was if it was the commission that wanted him to do it in private. Not sure who's "choice" this is.

4. AFAIK he wasn't "invited" to do so. Are there more public hearings

even scheduled? I was under the impression the last 2 days were the onl y ones they had set up...

a couple of weeks ago, thanking Clinton and Gore very pointedly for agreeing to testify under oath and all, kinda rubbing in to Chimpy et al ??
