Hints of political restructuring?

Democrats for Bush. Republicans for Kerry. Republicans bashing their own. McCain hinting at running with Kerry. The latest hero for many Democrats is a Republican. In fact, it seems - temporarily at least - the doves are rooting for the hawk.

Are we lining up based on principle instead of party. Is this a trend? If so, I like it!

2. He didn't. He said it wouldn't happen.

He is Republican to the core. The only reason everybody is getting hung up on McCain is because they're playing the "enemy of my enemy" card. They forget he's been out campaigning for Bush.

I'm an Arizonan and I have a lot of respect for McCain, but still, he IS a Republican with a Republican agenda. Period.

5. McCain's campaigning for Bush?

I know he's a Repub, but I thought that there was some bad blood between McCain and the Bushes. Also, would you characterize him as a moderate or wingnut?

3. If it was politically viable, spit into three parties...

Greens and Liberal Democrats on the Left, we could call ourselves the Social Democrats. DLCers and Moderate Repubs could create the "Standing on Fence" party, and the Core Repubs could form the "Christian Theocrat" Party.

I would say the split would equal about 30% us, 55% SOF Party, and 10% for the CT Party, with 5% undecided.

On EDIT: We also merge with the SPUSA as well.
