...he'll weather the storm. The whole thing has only brewed up as he has a stomach bug and gave a speech where he looked under the weather but there is plenty of spin and rumour flying around.
As to a possible successor, nobody can name any Lib Dems other than Charles Kennedy so it might not be so easy to say. Menzies Campbell perhaps.
