The "Send Me" speech??
Anyone have a link to that speech last night?? I keep searching around and with no luck...

I watched the replay last night and that part just gave me chills...it was perfect... Those words "send me", in the different contexts that Clinton used is a powerful campaign message and I would highly reccommend Kerry picking this up!!

1. I missed his speech, but my husband told me it was wonderful.
I would like to read a transcript as well.

2. Fantastic speech
As Kerry asked Carter and Clinton after their respective speeches: "What are you doing every night for the next eight months?"

Clinton was on fire. My partner, who is a liberal but never fond of Clinton was even impressed. Listening in the other room, she finally arose, tossed down the book she was reading, and declared - "Alright Bill, you got me goddamnit...." and came in to watch the remainder. That tape needs to be replayed, and often.

Another plus to "Send Me" as a slogan - they can tap Sam Cooke's classic song.

3. Excellent.
Where have we heard, "Send me" before. Is that a biblical reference? Or, maybe, that was "Take me?" I think it's literary, I just can't remember where I heard it before. It was great, though. Powerful and gave me chills! I hope we get to see more of him in the coming 8 months. I miss the guy.

4. Right-on, berner59, it was magnificent and
would be a moving, effective campaign message.
I can see the ad, over and over, and over again. :wow:

8. As compared to Bush* "Daddy please don't let them send me"
The contrast is so stark that I just am dumbfounded daily that Bush* has any followers at all.

9. It's from the Book of Isaiah.
"Then said the Lord, Whom shall I send? And who will go for us? Then said I: Here I am; send me."

That was my tank battalion's motto, when I was in the Army.

13. What I saw was powerful, but that was only a few fragments.
Don't have broadband, but is there any place it's likely to be replayed on TV at this point (Sunday morning the 28th)? Or might there be a DVD or other video version available eventually?
