some thoughts on last night
I had a pretty good night last night.

Dean on Capital Report - very good
he has learned to keep his foot out of his mouth by saying "I will not comment on that" ..excellent responses throughout.
he has come a long way

Dean on Jim Lehrer - awesome!
very harsh words for bush
suggesting that we need an independent commission to look into * for possible impeachment (my interpretation)

Unity Meeting
Bill Clinton was incredible!
he is the perfect person to combat the Rove smear tactics and media.
mentioned McCain, Max Clelland, and others.
he really put bush in his place too - and he has the authority to do that.

Terry McCauliffe - although I didn't think he was doing a good job before (same with Daschle) - I now believe that both men are like Job
and are working their hardest to fight the good fight.

Terry said in no uncertain terms:
we will fight Bush's negative attack ads and mischaracterizations this time unlike with Gore.

looks like VP is going to be one of: (not necessarily in this order)
Dean
Edwards
Gore
Hillary

Did Jimmy Carter suggest an involuntary 1 term presidency or was talking about limiting Bush to one term??? (I missed that one)

didn't see Nightline.

1. limiting Bush
he was making a joke because he had a only one term. He also gave some good advice to his friend Ralph Nader.

2. I think Carter was talking about himself and others who have served one...
term - in other words - involuntary.

I liked Carter's comments on Nader. In his own gentle, kind way - which makes his statments have more zing - he told Nader to stay home.
